Our Restaurants

FoxGardin Kitchen & Ale

After years of working Downtown Indianapolis, business partners Jake Burgess and Toby Shelton decided to “Come Home” and open an 21+ establishment that exuded the style of service and quality of food to which they had become accustomed. FoxGardin is tucked away on quaint Main Street in Fortville; minutes to Geist, Fishers, Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center, and I-69. FoxGardin Kitchen & Ale is a perfect spot to sneak away, while still being close to everything!

Food You Want To Eat.

Meet the Chef

Jake Burgess

Jake started in hospitality at age 15 in his hometown of Fortville. He and Toby met during their time at Ball State, where Jake first started working in fine dining. He relocated to Indy, working his way through the ranks to eventually become Regional Chef for Prime 47. It was always Jake’s dream to own his own restaurant, and in 2015 that became reality when he and Toby opened FoxGardin Kitchen & Ale.

Meet the Boss

Toby Shelton

Toby started in hospitality at age 16 and worked his way up from a busser to management during college. He holds a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Ball State (chirp chirp!). He and his wife Lanae and daughter Evie reside in Fortville. Toby is known for being the life of the party and his catch phrases like “I’ll Do One.”
